3 Ways to Elevate Your Thanksgiving this Year with Cannabis

Thanksgiving is a holiday to celebrate everything we’re thankful for, and the list is long this year. Greeley Gallery is grateful to be thriving in north Portland, and our customers are the best we could ever ask for. But Thanksgiving is also about delicious, scrumptious, mouthwatering food.

Thanksgiving dinner is well worth the year-long wait, and just thinking about pumpkin pie, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, and gravy is enough to make us drool. We weren’t sure it was possible, but amazingly, there are at least three ways to elevate your Thanksgiving this year with cannabis.

Munchies Galore

Getting “the munchies” is a well-known effect of consuming cannabis. There’s just something about marijuana that makes food taste a billion times better, even when you don’t think a meal could get any better. Yet, consuming Thanksgiving dinner while experiencing the munchies is a surefire way to make every bite explode on your tastebuds.

Of course, if you can’t or don’t wish to consume cannabis for the actual Thanksgiving dinner, chowing down on Thanksgiving leftovers might be even better. After all, it’s almost magical how Thanksgiving leftovers taste better than the night of. Plus, then you can eat the way you really want to – by shoveling it in your mouth like a caveman rather than small polite bites.

Edible Delights

If your Thanksgiving plans include an all-adult guestlist, why not spice up a dish by turning it into an edible. Use some cannabis-infused butter in your recipe or drizzle some atop your mashed potatoes and enjoy.

If you don’t want to DIY your own edibles, stop into Greeley Gallery near the University of Portland and pick some up. We offer a selection of delicious edibles to choose from. Including cannabis concentrates, you can add to any recipe to make it an instant edible, or chocolate bars to crush and crumble atop ice cream or pumpkin pie for dessert and to help you digest.

Just make sure to let everyone know which foods are cannabis-infused, so there aren’t any unwelcome surprises for dinner guests.

Easing Family Awkwardness

Family can mean any number of things. Some families are made of blood and marital relationships, while others are chosen families created by friends and other chosen relationships. With many familial arrangements in between, but one thing all families have in common is that sometimes it can be hard to be around the ones we love.

Sometimes, the people we call family can drive us straight bonkers, which is why cannabis is a great way to help keep things calm. On the other hand, if you get along splendidly with your family, then cannabis will only liven the conversation and increase laughs all around the table.

Final Thoughts

We at Greeley Gallery wish you a very happy holiday season and welcome you to stop by anytime. Our recreational and medicinal cannabis dispensary offers high-quality, locally produced cannabis products from suppliers we count as family, and we’re open from 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week.

Thanksgiving is a special time of year to reflect on gratitude and to share quality time with loved ones. The last couple of years have been rough for everyone, and now is a great time to remind ourselves of the good that’s happened too, and the love and support we have for each other.
